So by now you know that I started
working for The Container Store a few weeks ago.
If you didn't know...now you do ;)
So up until now the only jobs i've held have
been part time filler jobs.
I worked while i was in school at my
University as well as a local Bakery here in Fort Worth.
Both jobs were so fantastic for me at the time
and I'm so glad i had those opportunities.
I also nannied quite a bit over the last year and a half.
So I've held a few jobs here and there
over the past couple of years but none of my
past job experiences have been like my new job...
Which makes sense..I've had a pretty natural progression
to my first professional gig.
Granted I probably would have been in my professional job
sooner but I found love first...you know ;)

Anyways...so here I am in my new job and
it's been so great!
I've made some great friends, I have the nicest co-workers ever
and my office building is pretty incredible if I do say so myself.
I could do without the rush-hour traffic but
that's unfortunately a part of life.
This week I'm in "Design School"
I'm learning the ins and outs of closet design.
Closet design as well as other types of designs,
office, craft room, pantry...all sorts of fun things.
I've never been that much of an organizer but
this job has really changed me for the better.
I'm now obsessed with all things organization.
It also helps that there is a pretty sweeeeeeet discount involved ;)
I also have some fun news other than the new job...
I got a new car!!!
This was my first grand purchase of my adult life.
I'm pretty proud of him and proud of myself for
getting him all by myself ;)
His name is Chuck, Chuck Boris Jr.
My old car was called Boris so we had to pay respect to him in the new car.
I'm so adult and so not adult all at the same time.
So new job, new car, working on a Visa for Tom
& looking at future new apartments!
Things are looking pretty great around here!!
We'll see how great I feel at the end of this week
after 40+ hours of design school training!! ;)
Hope you're all having a great week!
Thanks for sharing your story and your car picture hope you really have fun with you car on your job.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that things are going well for you. I bought my first adult car last year and it was so exciting. It really does make you feel like an adult when you have your own car. And the crazy thing is that the feeling still has not gone away. I hope the feeling never actually goes away.

ReplyDeleteGreat post. I can share on my facebook?
ReplyDeleteNothing can make you feel like you are on top of the world like that new car. I had been driving my old car so long it was in its 2nd 100,000 mile run. I have to keep reminding myself what when I look at the odometer and see 23 miles that this really is my new car and I feel like I am dreaming.
